The principal of DSY Financial is Delbert Yap, B.Comm (Hons), who began his career in Group Benefits with a major Life and Health Insurer. After leaving the insurer world Delbert worked for a national benefits consulting firm opening their Vancouver office in 1996. In 2002 the roots for DSY Financial were planted when Delbert went into private practice.
DSY Financial has expertise in the fields of Group Benefits, US and International Benefits, Group Retirement programs, Executive Benefits and Integrated Disability Solutions. We are a Third Party Administrator (TPA) for RBC Insurance’s GSI Disability product. And can provide Health and Welfare Trust administration.
Our philosophy with respect to Group Benefits programs is to provide employers with the right amount of management information tailored for each employer. We strive to provide the type of ongoing management information that allows our clients to budget for their Group Benefits costs as opposed to accommodating these costs in their budget.
We feel that any employee Group Benefit Program begins and ends with plan design. Carrier selection is part of the process, but cost will ultimately be driven by claims, which is driven by plan design.
